Personal Giveaway “Tarot”
For this project, I created a set of personalized tarot-inspired metal cards. After finalizing my sketch, I decided to engrave it onto a gold-toned metal using patination techniques. I measured and mixed the chemicals, cut and heated the metal, and applied the solution to
form unique patterns. Once I achieved the textures I wanted, I engraved my illustration, polished and waxed the surface, and added a second metal layer to frame the card. In the future, I plan to engrave a QR code linking to my website, along with my name and
profession, and design a card holder for the full set.
I chose tarot cards because I am interested in the concept of symbolism behind each one. The three cards I selected reflect aspects of how I see the world (according to the traditional Rider one). I replaced human figures with skeletons to highlight the mortality of
life and used a space-like background to contrast human impermanence with the idea of infinity.

This section showcases experimental works that explore ideas beyond traditional painting and sculpture. Incorporating sewing, small-scale video, and other unconventional media, these pieces investigate materiality, movement, and narrative in playful and unexpected
ways. Each work is a laboratory for experimentation, pushing boundaries and inviting viewers to experience art from fresh perspectives
